Narrators mother telling her that she was gonna start taking piano lessons,
Narrator discovers that her piano teacher has difficulty hearing so she starts messing up on purpose.
Narrator gets up on stage and palys but messes up because of the little amount of practice and disapoints herself and her mother.

Narrator yells at her mother telling that she isn't what she wants her to be and she wishes she were dead, she brings up the babies her mother lost back in China.

Narrator drops out of college, this is a chapter in her life she considers very dark because she appears to be disappointing her mother over and over again.

Narrator finally gets a call from her mother after all this time, when she goes back she recieves a gift form her. Her old piano, her mother insists she takes it back since its always been hers so she can keep it.
