The settlement of Rome was established on the Tiber river. The Tiber river is located on the Italian peninsula. Rome's terrain was very mountainous, not as bad as Greece but, mountainous.

Romulus and Remus were brothers, their mother was a princess and their father was Mars, the god of war. The king feared them, for they could take his place on the thrown, so he ordered two of his people to drown them in Tiber river. The two men obeyed and sent them afloat in a basket down the river. They reported the two boys were dead. But the two boys weren't dead, they had instead been saved by a mother wolf who then raised them as her own. When they grew older, they decided to create their own kingdom, but ended up killing each other over who would rule and who wouldn't. Romulus won and called it Rome.

The Etruscans influenced Roman engineering heavily. From the Etruscans, romans learned about the cuniculus and arches. Because of the Etruscans, the romans became the best engineers in the world.

One big sport influence the Etruscans put onto the romans was slave fighting. At funerals, the Etruscans would have the slaves of the dead owner fight to the death. In Rome, Gladiators battles.

The influence of art Greeks had on Romans was pottery. The Greeks were well known for their beautiful artistic view whilst making pottery, and the Romans/Etruscans admired it.
