Hey, it's Batman! I have been reading the myth of Hercules, and I realized his story and mine have a lot of similarities!
Hercules starts by having his mother drive him temporarily insane. This causes him to make some mistakes. This fuels his actions, just like me! Hercules then becomes a servant and completes 12 labors to correct his actions. These create the conflicts and the climaxes of his stories.
One of the labors is to defeat the Hydra. This is difficult because a new head forms everytime he cuts it off. This is a man vs. man conflict.
The climax of the story is when Hercules and his nephew, Lolus, discover when he cuts off a head and then applies a flame to the neck, a new head will not form.
After discovering this, the team defeats the Hydra, completing the labor.
Throughout my story, I show my determination for justice in my community, Gotham City. The Joker was constantly creating conflicts in my life, ending with the death of my best friend. Because of these actions, I can be described as determined and strong. Hercules can also be described as determined and strong. Hercules is part god, giving him superhuman strength. In the myth “Achelous & Hercules,” Hercules shows his strength by grabbing the bull by the horns and tearing off a horn. This is just one of his 12 labors. The fact that he completes these twelve labors shows that he is determined, just like me.
One theme of Hercules is that perseverance and determination are keys to success. My story has a very similar theme. Hercules shows this by completing 12 challenging labors to correct his wrongdoings. My theme is similar because I am determined to do what is right and hunt for justice in the community.
