  • The French and Indian War was a conflict between France and Britain. It was a war to decide which nation would control Ohio and Mississippi river regions.
  • Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan of which was the Proposal to unify the colonies. The Treaty of Paris ended the war in 1763.
  • The treaty gave Britain Quebec and the Ohio Valley.
  • France lost all of their territory in north America.
  • Britain imposed the Proclamation of 1763 on the colonists which prohibited colonist to move or live west.
  • The war cost Britain a lot of money so they taxed the colonists. The colonists became angry.
