Merchants and Craftsmen most of the time lives inside the manor, and had houses and stores. Farmers on the other hand, lived outside of the manor, farming. They were lower in the feudal system, but not the lowest.
Peasants were at the bottom of the feudal system, they were forced to work in fields and to give up a large portion of their crops. They were forced to live in tiny shacks with their family and one ox. They had basically no rights and were the lowest in the feudal system.
