Bloody Sunday was a protest in St. Petersburg Russia on Jan 22, 1905 that turned violent after forces came to the scene. This protest killed and wounded hundreds.
On March 15, 1917 Czar Nicholas II stepped down from the Russian throne.
Shortly after Lenin came into power in 1921. Vladimir Lenin was a communist dictator for the Soviet Union.
During Civil in Russia, the whites tried to overthrow the Bolsheviks. The Trotsky formed highly disciplined Red Army of Bolsheviks, Whites lost to the better-organized Red Army.
The Red Terror officially began in September 1918, following attempts on the lives of several Bolshevik leaders including Lenin.
After Lenin died, new Russian leader Joseph Stalin came into power.
