Eleonora had become ill. She became scared that I would move out of the small valley and fall in love with someone else. I gave her and God a solemn vow that I would never marry anyone else.
Eleonora soon died, putting an end to her innocent life.
After Eleonora passed, the Valley of the Many-Colored Grasses began to fade. I never forgot the promises I made to her. Although she was long gone, she was always watching over me, and I could feel her presence.
With a void in my heart that needed to be filled, I moved to a strange city. Afterwards, I meet Ermengarde and married her, breaking my solemn vow to Eleonora and God.
Eleonora visited me from beyond the grave. Afraid she was going to be upset with me, I feared for my life.
However, Eleonora granted us her blessings. She said I can make it up to her in heaven. Ermengarde and I lived happily with Eleonora watching us from a far.
