Themistocles of Athens devised a plan to attack Persia's ships. The Athenians lured the persians into the strait of Salamis. The persian ships were too big to move around , however the Athenians ships were small enough.
The Greek cities came together and fought Persia. With over 100,000 soldiers on each side, the Greeks managed to win. The persians and Greeks eventually found peace, and the Persian Empire weakened shortly after.
