I became a voyageur because my other family memeber's have done it and I want to pass it on in the family and keep the generation going on.Also,I'm leaving behind in Lachine because my father has hurt his hand very bad and i need the doctor to check on it.
I'm holding up very well in St. Annes. Also, I left the donation for them when I left, and now I am heading off into a unamed location with mt brigade. My muscles and blisters hurt very badly. Finally, I'm feeling homesick a little I can feel the nausea. P.S I'm getting along with my brigade we're seeming to hold everything together so thats good.
Are brigade unfortunatley ended up in the rapids it was a crazy and wild ride. When we ran into the rapids we had to face twists and turns right away and are boat almost tipped over. Also, we had to face extreme winds and that was making are boat go slower since it was pushing us back. Finally, the waves were super big so we tried are hardest to doge the giant waves in are path.
Crossing the water was harsh because we had to face severe winds that were super fast. Also,we had to face really cold waters and if are boat tipped we would probably drown or die of frostbite. Then, we had to face big waves which could probably tip us over. Finally,we went through the middle of the lake so it was bad.
When we made it, we were so relived when we got off the canoe it was an amazing it was a feeling like no other.Although, one of are brigade mates got sea sick everything felt so good we had to celebrate somehow. Also,it felt amazing to stand after months and months of canoeing. Then, we saw a sign pointing towards the trading post and we thought to areselves that we should start going towards it to maybe check if anyone's there.
So I've decided to go back to my family and take a break for a while.Although it will be missed the reason why I have left is because I havent seen my family in a while and I missed them. Also,I will not be signing up for next spring because of the weather along the way and how dangerous it could be again, and the fact that I want to spend more time with my family.
