Storyboard Text

  • Montag bathes in the river and pours himself with alcohol. Then he puts on fabers clothes. This was one of the ways faber advised him to get rid of his scent.
  • Montag watches up as the police and helicopters head back to the city. He realizes he has finally escaped them.
  • The wild outdoor and darkness of the night begin to deeply affect Montag. He is starting to pay attention and appreciate nature. 
  • Montag reaches the railroad Faber told him to go to. He continues on his escape quest.

  • we're nothing more than just jackets for books, of no significance otherwise."
  • The men discuss teaching the books they have memorized to the youngest generation. This is very important 
  • Montag finds out that each person has memorized different pieces of books.
  • Granger makes a very significant quote. The goal now for them is not survival but to pass on their knowledge so books won't become extinct.
  • The government continuously tries to play tricks on the public throughout the story. This just shows how bad the society has become that the government now lies. 
  • Meanwhile, in the city, the police kill a scapegoat so the public thinks Montags dead.
  • The war is over almost instantly. Granger says that there are thousands undercover who have memorized book, but are waiting for the war to end.
  • No, that the war is over people can come out of the shadows and start to rebuild this fallen society with their knowledge and books.
