Finders keepers. I have kitchen duty, you're on Cookie duty.
You like the new place?
Like it? I love it!
My room is next to the kitchen. You kids can fight it out upstairs.
Regina Calcaterra and her family are in the car. They never talk to each other in the car or else their mom will get mad, and then yell at them to be quiet. They have an old car which doesn't work so well. They all know that they are going to a new hoe because they had to pack garbage bags.
We can stretch this for at least two weeks.
Go to the back and get a person who stocks things.
They pull up to an old house, that has no flowers and dead grass. They are all so excited because they will actually live in a house. Regina and her siblings always have to take in their clothes and they always take turns to see who has to take in their mom's stuff.
For the summer?
I want to stay at Kathy's for the summer.
The family arrive at their new house. They decide what room each person gets. The two older kids Regina and Camille look around the house to see what is there. Since there isn't a lot they decide to go to the grocery store after Cookie leaves.
My heroine. Amelia Earnhart. What would Amelia do?
Camille and Regina go to the grocery store to get food and things they really need. They get toilet paper, bread, macaroni and cheese and more. But the thing is that they don't pay for everything. They sneak most of the food they get. The only thing they pay for are the items that they can't sneak out.
Camille tells her sister that she wants to stay at her friend's house for the whole summer. Even though she had just spent the whole last year there. Regina does not want her sister to leave because she will be stuck having to take care of Rosie and Norman.
Regina, Rosie, and Norman go to the library to get out of their house with no air conditioning. It takes them forty-five minutes to walk there and the kids complain about it. Rosie and Norman would read their storybooks and Regina would read Judy Blume novels.
