Storyboard Text

  • orpheus is a Greek. He loves music and often sings by the trees. Everyone loved his music and so did nature and animals. His love was for Eurydice, the Nymph.
  • Eurydice went to the riverside to get flowerd with maidens. She then got bitten by a snake, and died! All day long Orpheus was sad and mourned her. He went to Hades underworld to see her.
  • OUCH!!!!!!
  • Orpheus went to the underworld to see Eurydice. He sang for her. 
  • The king told him to go to the light of day, and if he doesn't turn back, Eurydice spirit should follow. If he does, Eurydice will return to him. He didn't do what the king said, still having doubts. Then finally, he saw Eurydice, but she disappeared. He was so sad he couldn't even sing. 
  • The women of Thrace, maddened by Dionysus, fell upon him and killed him. It is said that the body was swept down the river Hebrus. 
  • The rocks echoed for the last time "Eurydice". In the daffodil meadows, he met the shade of Eurydice. Orpheus looked back at Eurydice.
