Dill leaves in the beginning of Chapter 2. Scout is sad."Dill left us early in September, to return to Meridian. We saw him off on the five o’clock bus and I was miserable without him.."
Scout then remembers that she is about to start school this cheers her up for she didn't want anything more than for her to start school again."Hours of wintertime had found me in the treehousee.... I longed to join them"
Jem tells Scout that they cant play anymore together at school which leads the reader to believe that Jem is embarrassed of Scout."Jem was careful to explain that during school hours I was not to bother him, "
The reader should start to notice that Scout is starting to not like school early in the morning she has already got in trouble"Be Miss Caroline Fisher, our teacher, hauled me up to the front of the room and patted the palm of my hand with a ruler, then made me stand in the corner until noon.
Scout starts to notice that Ms.Caroline is inexperienced because she tells Scour to tell Atticus not to teach her anymore because what he is teaching isn't right and is interfering with her learning. " Miss Caroline told me to tell my father not to teach me any more, it would interfere with my reading."
Ms. Caroline meets Walter she is met with confusion by his ignorant conduct. When all the kids leave after an incident over a quarter and Walter not taking in Caroline buries her head which leads me to believe she was crying." As I was the last to leave, I saw her sink down into her chair and bury her head in her arms"
