Lester Simmons a retired pullman car porter and the young porters were at a bar shining their shoes while Lester told the young porters his stories about the 11:59
The 11:59 pulled up to his door

Lester has left the bar and takes the regular walk home and suddenly feels a sharp pain in his chest, he checked the time on his watch and saw 11:59 and heard a train whistle
Lester sat on his chair all day he couldn't move, he had to say to himself "I'll survive" he could hear the tick tock, but then realized it was his own heart
Lester drifted off to sleep, then woke up from a nightmare where he was swallowed by a n enormous beast. He said to himself "I'm too smart for that, Death"

The whistle sounded again but this time closer and the pain in the chest had gotten worst and worst. Time had run out. Tip an old friend that was not seen after the 11:59 had came into the room and said "It's your time, good brother"

The engine tore right through the front of the apartment shattering glass and other things including Lester's heart
