The carrying capacity is the maximum number of individuals of a particular species that the environment can normally support.
If a population exceeds the carrying capacity, a population crash will occur. Population crash is a dramatic decline in the size of a population over a short period of time.
For example, here the maximum capacity for this population is 7. However, this population has 9 people, so the resources will decrease and will not be able to support all of the population, and will cause a population crash.
