"Loyalty and devotion lead to bravery. Bravery leads to the spirit of self sacrifice. The spirit of self sacrifice creates trust in the power of love." - Morihei Ueshba
Rikki Tikki is trying to protect his family from the snakes.
The element that helped us identify the theme the most was the conflict. It helped us because without the snakes there would be no problem to find the theme while the characters solve it.
The setting effects the theme because since it was in a garden there were snakes and Rikki tikki had to protect his family by killing the snakes showing that he is loyal to the family.
Rikki Tikki supports the theme because he killed the snakes to protect the family from hard which shows he cares about the family.
The conflict helped support the theme because if the snakes hadn't been trying to hurt the family Rikki Tikki wouldn't have had a chance to protect the family.
