Storyboard Text

  • It was the last day of school when Daryl the dog and Raffi the rabbit were hanging out. Then Carol the cat showed up and said there was going to be a party at her house after school and that they should come.
  • As Daryl the dog was walking home he thought about what was going to happen at the party. Who was going to be there? What are we going to do? As he was thinking he realized that there might be those dangerous things mom always talks about, but Daryl didn't think about that and decided to go to the party anyways.
  • Daryl and his friends decided to grab some food before the party. As the were talking, Daryl thought about this quote his mom told him about. "You are free to choose what you want to make of your life. It's called free agency or free will, and it's your birthright". He then realized, it's his choice of what he wants to do at the party, but still isn't sure of what he should do
  • On the way to Carols party Daryl started to think about what his mom would always say to keep him out of trouble. "Saying 'yes' to one thing means saying 'no' to another. That's why decisions can be hard sometimes." Daryl then remembered that even though his friends might want to try silly things doesn't mean he should, even if it seems fun.
  • When Daryl and the others began to approach Carols house  Daryl started to get worried about the party and thought about going home, but then realized that no matter what any one says, he has free will and can do whatever he wants, so he said, I'm just going to have fun and enjoy the party with my friends.
  • Once Daryl and his friends got to the party, they met up with Carol who offered them to come downstairs to the basement where everyone else was hanging out. Daryl had to remember not to do anything he didn't want to, so he thought of the quote his mom told him. “Life calls the tune, we dance.” Though this did not mean that Daryl didn't have a choice. He could still do whatever he wanted
