The Phantom Tollbooth by Susan Nanus
Milo enters the toolbooth because he was bored and thought it would be sopmething to do.
Milo is taking Tock and the Humbug to the great castle of King Azaz to request permission to save the princesses. He after that goes to the castle of the Mathemagician to request permission.
He visits the castles and recieves permission to try to save the princesses. The Mathemagician gives him his own magic pencil to help him save the princesses.
Milo attempts to save the princesses and get past the many demons that gaurd the castle in the air. It is a great task that Milo must succeed in order to save the kingdom.
Milo saves the princesses and is honored by the Mathemagician and the great King Azaz and is considered a hero by many people.
