In the Most dangerous game, a man named Sanger Rainsford ended up on some mysterious island. While he was there he met some very interesting people. Mr. Rainsford is very brave, clever, and athletic while he was there.
Mr. Rainsford was going to the Amazon for hunting. He heard a gun shot in the distance which startled him and made him fall off the boat. Rainsford was calling for anybody to help and nobody was near.
Mr Rainsford has a trait of being brave because he went through the woods by himself and took on the challenge of General Zaroff. In the text it says, "Rainsford fought his way through the bush for two hours." This shows you that not just anyone would go through the woods and fighting through bushes to stay alive.
Mr. Rainsford is also clever because he comes up with the most genius plan to capture General Zaroff. In the text it says,"He planted stakes in the bottom of the pit with the points sticking up. He wove a rough carpet of weeds and branches and with it he covered the mouth of the pit." This shows that he thought of a clever plan to capture General Zaroff without knowing.
Mr. Rainsford is very athletic because he swam all the way to the the shore from where he fell off from the boat. He also jumped off a cliff to beat zaroff to his chateau. In the text it says," He swam in that direction, swimming with slow, deliberate strokes conserving his strength. For a seemingly endless time he fought the sea." This proves that he is athletic because not just anyone would go and swim at night in the Caribbean Sea.
Mr. Rainsford jumped off a cliff into the sea to beat general Zaroff. In the text it says, "I congratulate you, you have won the game." Rainsford has won the game and now gets to do what General Zaroff promised.
