- Look at that healthy dog!
- I think we have found our next meal.
- I can't wait to suck his blood. He's going to be our food for the next few weeks.
- Let's keep on eating! He's good for a few more weeks.
- I feel weird the past few days, like I'm coming down with something. Even if I eat a lot, I still feel a little weak and I keep on losing weight.
- Now I am really sick. I can't sleep. I can't eat. I don't have the energy to run, or do anything. I feel so weak.
- I think we are almost finish with him. At least we were able to eat for a few weeks.
- We're done with him. It is time to find a new host to get our food from.
- I don't think I have long to live. I am dying.
- I'm getting hungry again. Let's go!
- This comic strip shows what a parasitic relationship is. The parasite, which is the fleas in this story, lived off the host, which is the dog. The fleas benefited from the dog because it became its food source. But the dog was harmed because of what the fleas did.
