  • Prentice Gautt was born February,8- 1939 in Oklahoma city
  • Prentice goes to douglas high school in Oklahoma city where he played running back for there football team and is in there band.
  • Gautt played football for Douglas High School. He would go to play in the all-star game. He's the 1st African American to ever play in it.
  • Prentince Gautt would go and get a full scholarship to the University of Oklahoma. He would be the 1st African-American to start for OU. 
  • Prentice Gautt averaged 5.5 yards a carry in his career for OU. He rushed for 1,301 yards on 235 carries with 6 career touchdowns. after his death he would be selected to the college football hall of fame
  • Prentice Gautt died March, 17-2005 in lawrence kansas. He changed fottball forever
