  • In the society the women are the ones who gather.They search for many things such as roots, mushrooms, yams and wild seeds.

  • Aksumites developed a unique architecture. They carved stones that fit together without mortar to construct palaces and public buildings. Stone pillars as tall as 100 feet were erected as monuments or tomb markers. The carvings on the pillars are representations of the architecture of the time.

  •  Sunni Ali’s rule began in 1464 and lasted almost 30 years.Sunni Ali a professional army that had a fleet of war canoes and a mobile fighting force on horseback. He expanded Songhai into an empire through his skill as a military commander and his aggressive leadership.

  • Africa is the home to many people and they all come from different cultures and differeny religions They learned how to adapt to what was around them and trade things with others.
