That’s an interesting question. It’s actually a non-living thing.
Viruses like coronavirus are non-living things because they do not grow. They also don't need to consume energy to survive, nor can they regulate their own temperature.
But they replicate. Isn’t that their way of growing?
I really thought that it was a living thing.

Actually, they don't reproduce independently because they must replicate by invading living cells. Without a host cell, the virus simply can’t replicate.
