In the princess's fifteenth year she shall prick herself with a spindle and die
I give thee the gift of kindness.
Once upon a time, there lived a king and a queen, they wished for a child. But they never received one. After years of waiting, they were finally blessed with a baby girl. To celebrate her birth they held a large party.
The king and queen not only invited friends and family, they invited the wise women. There were thirteen wise women in the kingdom, but the king and queen had only 12 gold plates to serve them, so they did not invite one of the wise women. Each wise woman bestowed a gift upon the girl.
Just after the eleventh woman gave her gift the uninvited wise woman burst into the room and left a curse upon the child. The twelfth woman made it so the child would not die but fall into a hundred year's sleep.
One day, while the king and queen were out, the girl was wandering around the castle. She came to a room with an old woman spinning wool, she pricked her finger on the spindle and fell into a sleep, along with the rest of the castle, and thorns soon surrounded the grounds.
A prince soon heard about the sleeping castle wrapped in thorns, so he sought out the sleeping princess.
The brave prince made his way through the thorns. He found the sleeping princess and awoke her with a kiss. And they lived happily ever after. The End.
