  • Why do I see all of the poor and sick people

  • Life of Buddha and his birth A boy named Siddhartha Gautama was born in Nepal in 563 B.C to a royal Hindu family. One day his father met with a fortune teller who told him that Siddhartha would either be king or a religious leader. His father hoped Siddhartha would become king.
  • He knew that their was an escape from the endless cycle
  • Protected Prince As a young boy Siddhartha grew up in a palace. His father protected him from everything unpleasant and made sure that Siddhartha never saw the poor,sad, and sick. Eventually Siddhartha married and had a son.
  • He loved to meditate and it helped him
  •                                      Four passing sights   One day at the age of 29, Siddhartha rode out of the palace without any guards. To his astonishment he an old man a sick man and a dead man. The fourth site was a wandering holy man who was a homeless but content. l
  • Search for truth path to self denial Now that Siddhartha lived as a religious seeker he sought the advice about how to achieve salvation by talking to Hindu gurus. Siddhartha was not satisfied and left to live with a group of ascetics.  As an ascetic Siddhartha gave up almost everything and at every little until he passed out.
  • Great Enlightenment As Siddhartha grew stronger he sat under the Bod hi tree to meditate. He mediate for 49 days but during that time he was tested by the goddess,Mara, who was trying to distract Buddha from his search for the truth. Despite that he reached enlightenment a state of perfect wisdom and became known as Buddha.
  • Buddha is awakened and discovers how to end suffering and achieve enlightenment. He gives up his own liberation to each other about Buddhism all throughout India. He died at the age of 80 after traning others to become teachers of Buddhism.
