Storyboard Text

  • Hi! I'm a cow, or scientifically a Bos Taurus Taurus.
  • Cow's ancient counterparts, aurochs, were domesticated around 10,000 years ago in the fertile crescent.
  • Cows were domesticated because of our many uses, including leather, milk, and meat.
  • People started breeding cows for two main traits. Milk, and meat. This made cows produce more milk and meat, but also made cows more vulnerable to inbreeding, and problems with movement
  • Sadly, Cow Breeding is very harmful to them. Sometimes, inbreeding happens, causing cows to get really sick, and die. Also, many farmers keep them in tight pens, giving us other issues.
  • Though cow farming is very harmful, people use them for many things, from leather to meat to milk.
