Storyboard Text

  • Yeah, I’m glad, Nuclear energy is the future after all.
  • Did you hear about that new reactor that opened up in Exton?
  • Yeah, that is because they use heat from radioactive minerals to create steam, so they don’t create smoke.
  • I'm glad, those power plants have virtually zero carbon emissions.
  • Don't they use uranium which is a very potent resource.?
  • Yeah they do, and one pellet of uranium is equal to 17,000 cubic feet of natural gas, 1,780 pounds of coal or 149 gallons of oil.
  • They don't even have to use uranium, because they can also use Torium which is better for the environment.
  • I'm pretty sure some of the reactors in China already have switched to Thorium.
  • The one problem I can see with Nuclear power is that it can be very dangerous if accidents happen.
  • Yes, that is true, but that is the reason why there are so many precautions taken to ensure the safety of workers, civilians, and the environment.
  • Nuclear power has its drawbacks, but it is better than the other options available.
