  • Political Leadership
  • I am Abe Lincoln and I STOPPED slavery...but then some idiot named John Wilkes Booth killed me
  • Military Leadership
  • During the American Civil War,  President Abraham Lincoln and I led the Union Army to victory over the Confederacy.
  • Military Strategies
  • The Political leadership of the Union was no other than, Abraham Lincoln. He was the sixteenth President of the United States and he opposed the expansion of slavery. He was also a Republican from Illinois and he eventually led the Union during the Civil war.
  • Adventages for the Union During the Civil War
  • The Military Leadership of the Union during the Civil War was Ulysses S. Grant.
  • Advantages for the Union During the Civil War
  • During the Civil War, the Union's most famous and well thought out strategy was "The Anaconda Plan." The Anaconda Plan was suggested by Winfield Scott to "slowly choke and suffocate the south." The plan made a blockade to halt Southern trade with the world, which helped the Union because then the Confederates would have no have of receiving funds in the trade of Cotton.
  • Advantages for the Union During the Civil War
  • I helped soldiers move swifty and quickly. I also helped transport weapons and loads in just  within a few days, when the South had to transport by foot which might have taken months.
  • The Union's biggest advantage was that the North was mostly all industries. This helped create new and time-saving weapons to aid them through the war. There were many factories with all sorts of goods being made for the North's military. Some of the weapons were Minie Ball, an officer's sword, and canister shot.
  • Another Advantage that the Union had was a large amount of population. Since there was a larger amount of population than in the South, the Union had the advantage in raising an army and supporting the war efforts.
  • Lastly, an advantage for the Union was transportation. Since the technology was so advanced, the Union had the ability to create more railroad tracks and were able to transport more swiftly and easily.
