Mr bittering and his family go to Mars. Soon after, everything they took with them starts to change, and Mr bittering freaks out. Then, Mr bittering himself starts to change, along with everyone else. Soon after, no one on Mars has no recollection of what happened to the earth people when a rescue group from Earth arrives.
“Change can be scary, but you know whats even scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving, and progressing
i am scared that everything on mars, including me is changing, as you can tell by the look on my face
This quote shows how Harry was afraid of the changes happening around him which supports the idea that change is frightening.
"Lying abed, Mr. Bittering felt his bones shifted, shaped, melted like gold. His wife, lying beside him, was dark from many sunny afternoons. Dark she was, and golden, burnt almost black by the sun, sleeping, and the children metallic in their beds, and the wind roaring forlorn and changing through the old peach trees, the violet grass, shaking out green rose petals. The fear would not be stopped. It had his throat and heart. It dripped in a wetness of the arm and the temple and the trembling palm."
This quote states how Mr bittering was afraid of the changes happening to the people and how no one else cared.
