The Alamo in the 18th century where the Mexicans fought against Spain.
George Collinsworth and Benjamin Milam captured the Alamo fort taking control of San Antonio.
By 1836 in mid Fenuary,Colonels James Bowie and William B. Travis took command of Texan forces in San Antonio.
Sam Houston the former general of the Texans, tried to argue with them that San Antonio should be abandoned due to the lack of troop numbers, but Bowie and Travis nonetheless dug in and defended the fort to the last.
On Febuary 23, Santa Anna started a fight between the Texans and Mexicans, the texans held the fort for less than three weeks until Annas troops built a hole in the wall and Samta Anna won the fight, he told his troops not to kill all of the prisoners, instead he kept a lady named Susannah and her baby and sent them to Sam Houstons fort as a warning to stop revolting.
When Sam got the message he put up a flag that said come and take it (as above) and as they marched they would shout "Remember Gonzolaz! Remember the Alamo!".
