  • Evidence2: Charlie kills Pete Van Horn "He comes walkin out the darkness.  
  • Evidence3: Charlie clams that Timmy is the monster

  • I believe that the theme of "Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" is fear can be a destructive force. My first piece of evidence is when Charlie clams that Mr Goodman is the monster. Charlie lasses out in fear because Mr Goodman's car starts  although he was no were near the car and the fact that no electronics are working. My second piece of evidence is when Charlie kills Pete Van Horn because he was coming out the of the darkness. He also thought that he was the monster and he was  just protecting his family. The last piece of that Charlie claims that Tommy was the monster. He was scared that his neighbors would kill him
