I am a apple and I am about to be digested. Let's go through the digestive system.
Digestion begins in the mouth. The food is chewed by teeth into small pieces. These pieces get covered in saliva so it is easy to swallow.
After, I get sent through the pharynx which sends me to the esophagus where perstalsis and then into the stomach.
Now I'm in the stomach where I will be mixed with acids to turn into chyme. After, I will get sent into the small intestine.
Now I'm in the small intestine. The liver, gallbladder, and pancreas release bile which absorbs fat.
Then, food goes through the large intestine. Liquids are absorbed. What is left over is waste. It gets pushed into the rectum where it whats to leave the body.
