George begins to tell Lennie about their American dream fantasy. He describes men like them, out of place and lonely. He tells Lennie that they only earn their stake at work just to spend it all in town and start the cycle over again. In George and Lennie's American Dream they aren't like that. Unlike the other migrant workers, they have each other to watch after.
In today's society, there are many ways to earn a living and also have room to buy unnecessary things such as designer clothing and technology. Although Going out to shop and spending your whole paycheck is less common now with new ways and plans made to help prioritize money.
