  • During the 1920s woman's clothes got more comfortable and their skirts and hair got shorter they were called "flappers".

  • Prohibition created from the 18th amendment was when they decided to ban alcohol. Which led to bootlegging and secret bars called "speakeasies".

  • Their was a rise of organized crime like scar face and the mob. The people apart of this organized crime would extort small businesses for money.

  • jazz is a music genre that originated in the United States. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, jazz has become recognized as a major form of musical expression.
  • Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was an American writer, whose works illustrate the Jazz Age. While he achieved limited success in his lifetime, he is now widely regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century
  • People were spending a lot of money and partying a lot. It was a time when music and fashion were different. People accumulated a lot of credit card debt.
