Storyboard Description

In this storyboard, I created some scenarios of a Physical Education teacher encouraging and informing students on how to be better classmates. Ensuring that all students are treated equally with kindness and encouragement is a big part of the development of students. The readings and presentation really showed how many obstacles Gina has overcome with her disability. I feel that encouraging students to accept differences and spread kindness is a great way to help parents. Many students can be mean and hurtful towards others so it is important as an educator to inform these students to be kind and thoughtfully as much as possible. The free version of the storyboard only let me create 3 boxes so for my third box, I would have put a scenario where students are informed to think about how they want to be treated and reflect on whether or not they should say certain things that they would not want to be said to them. I feel that many parents struggle with reinforcing manners and basic kindness especially when their students are at school. This storyboard helps parents share their voice of reason and kindness when their students are at school. The videos really made me reflect on the hardships and struggles that many students with disabilities may face and how important it is to enforce kindness amongst students since I personally know how it feels to be left out or picked on.

Storyboard Text

  • Students should always be taught to all people equally despite any challenges they may be facing in or out of the classroom
  • Lend a helping hand and always be kind. You never know what people are dealing with. Kindness can go a long way
  • Always encourage students. They will remember how they are treated more than what they are taught.
