In exposition,it explains the characters (Bill,Sam and others),the setting (South Alabama),and the idea that turns into the problem.
Two Desperate Men, Gentelemen:I recieved your letter to-day by post,in regard to the ransom you ask for the return of my son.I think you are a little higj in your demands, and I hereby make you a counter-propostion .....
In rising action,Bill and Sam work together to get Ebenzer's son and then bring him to there little hide-out
In climax,Sam and Bill find out that Ebenzer's son (Johnny) is crazy and want him gone sooner so,they send a letter to Ebezer as quickly as possible to get the money.
In falling action, the boys get a few letters from Ebenezer saying that they should bring his son back and istead for him giving money to them he demands money from them, and Bill has enough with Johnney and try he tries to bring him back but follows him back to the hide-out.
In resolution,Bill and Sam bring Johnny back home and give Ebenzer the money. After so,they ran away to Canada.
The theme of The Ransom of Red Chief is Crime doesn't pay.I know this because in the text it states, "We’ll take him home, pay the ransom and make our getaway”This shows me that the theme is crime doesn't pay because it shows how instead of Sam and Billl getting the ransom money,Ebenezer recived it.Also, they had to run way so that Johnny wouldn't come back to them.
