  • Introduction 
  • Old English 450-1150
  • Middle English 1150-1500
  • Different stages of English has transformed and developed over the years and now currently we are using Slanguage.
  • Shakespeare 1500-1800
  • Old English was a language that we used to speak between the 450-1150. There have been different roots of where this language came from such as Latin, Greek, Scandinavian, French, Italian and Arabic. A famous poem called Beowulf it is over three thousand lines long and it tells the story of a Scandinavian Prince
  • Slanguage - Now
  • Middle English was between 1150-1500. The language from Old English had progressed but it was still difficult to read as it has not yet been processed into the English that we use today. A famous story from Middle English was the Canterbury tales which tells the stories of people from London traveling to Canterbury and the stories along the way that they share. 
  • Conclusion
  • Shakespearean Years were between 1500-1800. Shakespeare wrote very famous plays such as Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet tells the story of two people that fall in love but they can't be together because the parents hate eachother. In the end Juliet fakers her death, Romeo finds her (dead) the stabs himself, Juliet wakes  up to find him dead then kills herself.
  • Slanguage is a language that people from different countries, towns, states use. Slanguage is when you shorten all of your words. People have different names for different things and it is difficult to understand because it is a regional things and people from a different state could say a word that would be the same thing but sound completely different to you. 
  • Language has developed over time. It has gone through many stages of transformation over the years. It has gone through Old English, Middle English, Shakespeare and Slanguage which is what we are using now.
