Storyboard Text

  • The Persian were staring their enemy right in the face. On September 490 BC.
  • Meanwhile another set of Persians were headed over to Athens to attack the unprotected city.
  • The Persian started to run towards the Greeks. The greeks were confuse why they wouldn't want to save their energy. But the Persians had though ahead, they had put their fastest runners in the front of everyone else.
  • The greeks started to get frustrated and decided that the people on the front lines would also run. The Persians saw this and opened their front lines and the Greeks ran straight through them. Now the Greeks were in the middle of all of the Persians. The rest of the Greeks started to fight. So did the Persians. All together 6,400 Persians died and only 192 Greeks died so the Greeks won.
  • By this time the Greeks had remembered that the Persians were going to attack their city. So they picked their fastest person and sent them to run all the way to Athens which was 26 miles away. (This is why the battle was called the marathon because a marathon is 26 miles long). When he got there he yelled NIKE or VICTORY.Before he died.
  • By the time the Persians go there it was too late the greeks had just enough time to get their army set up. So the Persians turned around and didn't even bother to try and fight because they knew they had lost.
