  • Odysseus and his crew return to Circe's island to seek advice
  • "But scarcely had that island faded in blue air than I saw smoke and white water, with sound of waves in tumulta sound the men heard, and it terrified them. (Home Book 12 134-139)
  • "Odysseus and his men return to Circe's island. While the men sleep, Circe take Odysseus aside to hear about the underworld and to offer advice (Homer Book 12)"
  • "That was all, an it brought them round to action. But as I sent them toward the Scylla, I told them nothing, as they could do nothing. (Homer Book 12 160-162)"
  • "At dawn, Odysseus and his men continue on their journey (Homer Book 12 109)"
