One Christmas night General Washington's soldiers crossed the Delaware River. Hoping to give the Hessians a surprise attack after feasting and celebrating the holidays. Instead, they were falling behind on time as they were loading the boats.
Colonel Rall of the Hessians Dies
Washington and his partners lead their soldiers to the Hessian quarters and started the attack at 8:00 am sharp. They did not want to hurt the Hessians, only make them surrender and take their battle supplies such as food, guns, and ammunition.
