a verse novel book about a high school student named Ana Gonzales who felt like she was invisable to everyone who ended up commiting suicide, and the students at the school respond to the tradgedy. this book showcases stereotypes and also shows different students outlook on Ana death as many of them are different.
In this scene this is when many of the students at the school started to find out about Ana committing suicide and most people in the school didn't care and just put it off as a normal day.
In this scene it shows Darrith Evans talking to the basketball couch trying to convince him to let him not go to practice, so Evans comes up with a lie saying he doesn't wanna go because of Ana and that he knew her when in reality he didn't know her and used her death to get him out of going to practice.
