One key event that propels the plot is when the police officer arrested him and thought he was trying to resist but he wasn' t so he started beating on him really badly. And his friend was there watching it.
Hey stay right there
"He shoved me through the door and slammed me to the ground face first. Hurt so bad the lain color- white. He threw cuffs on me. The cuffs seemed to tighten and worse. I caught another blow, a fist in the kidney, a knew in the back, a forearm to the back of the neck" Page#12
I'm not even doing anything
How this action propels
This event causes a problem and leads to other situations to happen because Rashad ends up in the hospital with broken bones and bruises/scars. Also, No one really knows that he was there and seen everything when the cop was beating him, but as soon as he soon as he saw this he ran away from it.
Dang bruh I can't believe I just seen that
Rashad woke up from a coma and he had handcuffs on him, he couldn't move a single bone if he tried to he would be in so much pain
"Which by the way, might've been the best sleep I'd ever had in I don't even know how long. And that's with a broken nose and a few fractured ribs. custody. they brought me into the hospital. Handcuffs still on"page 44
This event causes a problem later on in the book because of what happened to him and because of the repercussions afterwards. Also, the officer that did that is his friend's cousin so it's kind of awakward, in addition since Quinn seen everything ing now he gets paranoid.
