  • We only get one vote?!?
  • The Third Estate gets Mad
  • Seems fair to us.
  • How will we ever get our way if we only get one vote?!?
  • The Third Estate gets Bamboozled
  • Free food in the hall!
  • But we're all starving!
  • The Three Estates of French society meet during the Estates General to discuss various matters. Although the first and second estate combined only make up 10% of the population, they both get one vote each. 
  • To The Tennis Court
  • now that we're in this tennis court, time for an oath!
  • If we ever need to meet, Let's do it!
  • The Third Estate was very upset that they only got one vote, even though they made up 90% of the population.
  • The National Assembly
  • We should call ourselves the National Assembly.
  • Sounds Good!
  • After the Third Estate complained a lot, the king tricked them into getting locked out of the meeting hall.

  • THE END
  • Once the Third Estate was kicked out of the Estates General, they went to a royal tennis court and made the Tennis Court Oath, that stated they would meet whenever they needed to.
  • After creating their oath, the Third Estate decided to call themselves the National Assembly. The National Assembly would become a leading group of the Revolution.
