Because of this way of life, the South and its army suffered greatly.
Significant changes have happened in our country after important events, such as the Civil War, and later in history, the Great Depression.
The Union Victory, in one way or another, both helped and harmed our country.
The naval blockade that was put on the South by the North also affected the South's economy.
