After the F&I War the British started to tax the colonists to make up for the money they lost in the war. The colonists did not think it was fair for England to put taxes on everyday essential items such as tea. The colonists dealt with the problem by rebelling and throwing tea into the water dressed up as Indians.
The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first engagements of the American Revolutionary War. The battles were fought on April 19, 1775 in Middlesex County near Massachusetts Bay, within the towns of Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Menotomy, and Cambridge.
The colonists decided to rebel against England because they had enough of their taxes and stupid laws. The war the colonists had against England is called the American Revolution, the colonies won the war which is how we are free today.
