  • Oedipus curses the murderer but in reality he curses himself. In the scene 1, "I will defend him as I would my own father. This means that he caused his own downfall.
  • Anagnorisis
  • Oedipus shows hubris when he insults the gods. In scene 2," The man who is arrogant and does not fear the gods". This means that he was kinda selfish because he thinks is he more important than the gods. They will try to get revenge.
  • Nemesis
  • Oedipus shows perpeteia when he is not longer kind now he is a poor person with not eyes. In scene, "Let my destiny go where it will". This means he went back to the hill were he was left as a child die there. This means that in the beginning he was a child and now he is adult.
  • Oedipus shows Anagnorisis when he discovered that he had married his mom. In the scene 4, "O, O, O, light of the sun, let me look upon you no more, cursed is my life". This means that at the end he makes a critical discovery because he never thought he had married his mom. 
  • Oedipus show nemesis when to go back to the hill were he was left as a chil, to die there. In the scene, "I must go from here to the hill where my parents tried to kill me:. This means that Oedipus couldn't change his fate because no matter what he was going to die in the same mountain.
