  • Battle of GettysburgGeneral Lee attempted to invade the north, but failed and retreated away.
  • Battle of Gettysburg was the last time the south could ever attempt to invade the north.
  • Seige at VicksburgNorth captured Vicksburg, and the Union had control. The economy in the south suffered because of this
