1713.The british go around telling every acadian to leave this land in a year, the acadian people go into shambles. They're frightened, worried, angry. They couldn't believe what was happening to them.
Everyone complains that they don't want to give up their hard earned land to the british. Some people started packing up their farming tools and other things since they already given up.
The british come back in 1730, they told the acadians to take an oath of neutrality meaning if a war broke out between the british and the french that the acadians would stay neutral. By 1755, the british and the french's war seemed likely so they required the acadians to take an oath of allegiance. That means that the acadians would fight for the britains.
Between 1755 and 1763 during "the great deportation", the british caught and shipped 11 000 acadians. The british shipped them to England and to France. The acadians got deported because they stalled and then refued the oath of allegiance.
