Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Inciting Incident
  • Rising Action
  • An ancient king went missing, and no one know where he went. His decedents were eventually forgotten to history, living normal lives, but they know that they were once royalty. Now every year since the king's disappearance a week before All hallow's eve, strange things happen in town.
  • Climax
  • Every year valuable items go missing for one week, animals act like they're afraid of their own shadow, and the king's decedents are plagued with bad luck. Trinity and her brother Braiden have had enough of the bad luck.
  • Falling action
  • The two siblings go the the ancient castle to investigate their terrible luck, because of the legend that the old king caused the misfortune. The children find an old relic that shows a vision of some one hiding a book, thinking the book would help their luck, the children find it. In truth the book is a diary of the king's chamber maid, who was also his mistress.
  • Resolution/Denouemont
  • The diary give no reason for the bad luck, but the last entry is barely legible, smudged with tears. What the entry reads is 'I killed him, he was asking for it. He told me we couldn't be together anymore! So I decided to do away with the king.' As the children read it starts to make sense, after all the bad luck starts a week before Halloween and the king went missing a week before Halloween
  • The kids realize that telling the cops about a ancient murder is useless, so they save the diary and a paint which on the back says 'I killed the king- Reilly M'Connell'. They save the evidence for one year, before giving the evidence to a historian, on the king's death day. The findings are published and the king finally has justice.
  • the story finally has an ending, and the family is credited for the finding as well a their heritage. The castle is now open to the public and the family was giving the royal jewels from the government (who took it from the castle original).
