  • I'm going to be quartered in your home for the rest of the war. All of your neighbors are quartering soldiers, so you should too.
  • Amendment 3 - No soldier shall, in time of peace, be quartered in any house without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
  • GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!! THE THIRD AMMENDMENT SAYS YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO STAY HERE WITHOUT MY CONSENT!!!
  • This soldier is to be quartered in this man's home. The man feels like he has no choice since all of his neighbors are quartering soldiers.
  • The old man then remembered that the Third Amendment allows him to deny soldiers from quartering in his home.
